    To prepare for our visit:

    • Look for any damages

Prior to our technicians arriving, please take a look around your home and areas to be washed. Inspect those areas carefully, looking for any damages prior to services. For example, note cracks, holes or damage in your siding.

    • Move Items

Make sure to move vehicles, outdoor home decor, wreaths, garden flags, string lights (including Christmas lights), hanging plants, patio furniture, grills or anything else that might not withstand pressure washing from the service area.

    • Outdoor Pets

Bring in any outdoor pets that are close to the home or areas to be serviced. Our chemicals are safe for plants and animals, but we do not recommend that your pets be close by during the wash. Also, our technicians do not enter fences that have unsecured pets inside unless directly specified by the homeowner. We will not be responsible for pets getting out of the fence or for our technicians being bitten during services.

    • Vehicles

Please ensure that any vehicles are parked inside your garage or moved away from the home and areas to be washed.

    • Driveways

Please make sure your driveway has a clear path with no vehicles in the way for our truck to properly and easily access your home. Dirt Doctors will not be responsible for chemical spray on vehicles parked too close to your home or areas to be washed.

    • Garage Door

Please make sure your garage door is closed unless you have requested your garage floor to be cleaned. If you have requested your garage floor to be cleaned, please make sure all items have been removed from the service area.

    • Plants or Shrubs

If you have concerns that your plants or shrubs may be damaged by our chemicals, we recommend that you cover them with plastic prior to the technicians arriving. We rinse uncovered plants or shrubs before and after services to prevent chemical residue left on them. Our chemicals have not been known to damage plants or shrubs, but we understand any precautions you may prefer to take.

    • Easy access to your water faucets

Please make sure our techs have easy access to your water faucets. We do come with water in our tank, but must hook up to your water in order to maintain water pressure. If water is supplied solely by Dirt Doctors, an additional 25 percent fee will be charged to your invoice.

    • Any items the technicians have to move...

Any items the technicians have to move will be placed on your lawn and will not be moved back. This is to avoid any chance of discoloration or damages. We do not remove string lights or Christmas lights. If items have not been moved prior to service, you may be asked to reschedule to later in the day or the next available appointment. This will likely be considered as a cancellation. With advance notice, Dirt Doctors will assist with moving small items for customers who are unable to do so. We must be notified in advance, so that we can allow sufficient time for our technicians to assist with removing items and accomplish the service without causing delays in our schedule.

    • Questions regarding the appointment preparation

If you have any questions regarding the appointment preparation, please contact our office.

    • Outdoor Electronics

Please make sure that any outdoor electronics, such as doorbell cameras or security systems, near the work area are covered.

    After services are complete:

    • Satisfaction

Please take a look around your home and areas washed to make sure everything is to your satisfaction. We want every customer to be satisfied with our services.

    • Check your gates

Please make sure you check your gates before releasing your pets back into outdoor fences.

    • Check your outdoor electrical outlets

We recommend that you check your outdoor electrical outlets. Why? Occasionally, water may seep into your outdoor outlets if they are not sealed properly or if the seal is old, cracked or damaged. If it is a GFCI outlet (which is likely), it may cause some indoor outlets to temporarily stop working as well. No worries! It is doing what it is designed to do. These outlets are on a GFCI circuit designed to “trip” the circuit to prevent fires or other major issues that may be caused by a disruption in the electrical flow. If this happens, reset the outlet by locating the outlet with the GFCI reset button and pushing it. If that does not fix the issue, check your breaker box to see if one has tripped.

    • Please check your outdoor faucets

We arrive with water in our tank, but must hook up to your water supply in order to maintain water pressure. Please check your outdoor faucets to ensure they are tightly closed after service.

    • Contact our office within seven days after service

Please contact our office within seven days after service with any questions or concerns. Any damages reported or corrections needed within this time, and found to be the fault of Dirt Doctors, will be reviewed for resolution. We will not be held liable for anything reported after seven days.

    Frequently Asked Questions

    • What if it rains or there is bad weather?

We work rain or shine (well, during light rain, anyway). It's hard for us to do our best work during heavy rain, storms or sub-freezing conditions. During these times, we will contact you to reschedule your appointment.

    • What time will you be here?

Due to the nature of our business, each job we do is unique in the time it takes to complete. We are unable to give an exact arrival time for your appointment as our technicians work from dawn to dusk. We can, however, note any specific requests on your work order and do the best we can to meet your expectations and needs. Please know that any times given are approximate and may change at any time.

    • Do I have to be home?

We do not require you to be home during services. However, we do request that you make sure you thoroughly review our appointment preparation list and make sure your home is ready for services. This will help you avoid cancellation fees.

    • How do I pay for services?

Payment is expected on day of service. There will be a 5 percent late fee assessed for any invoices not paid within 15 days of service. You are welcome to visit our office with any form of payment, provide cash or check to our lead technician or call our office to provide a card payment. We accept VISA, Mastercard, American Express and Discover.

    • Is your chemical safe for my plants, trees, grass and shrubs?

Our chemical is safe for all plants, trees, grass and shrubs around your home, and we have yet to experience any damages to them as a result of our chemical. However, during the hottest part of high temperature days, leaves are more susceptible to scorching as a result of the water and heat combination.

    • Do you wash windows?

The short answer is, no. We do our best to make sure your windows are clean with our pressure washing services but do not go back and squeegee or wipe them down. Removing your window screens (if applicable) will help with this cleaning process as well.

    • Do you remove the window screens?

No, we do not remove your window screens due to liability. We do not want to risk damaging your screens or glass during screen removal or putting them back in. You are welcome to remove the screens before our arrival if you wish, but it is not required for services. Please be aware, although we do try to make sure your home's exterior is sparkling clean, we cannot guarantee there will not be any dirt/debris remaining inside the window sills due to screens in place.
